independent contractor / freelancer payment processing
- Process your independent contractor invoices through our own payment system
- Obtain and check the necessary paperwork (I9, etc) for your new freelancers
- Maintain a file of all contact information for your independent contractors
- Pay your independent contractors on a weekly basis by check, or another method as directed by you
- Maintain an alphabetized file of both paid and un-paid independent contractor invoices
- Work with your independent contractors directly to resolve any missing invoice or payment issues
- Prepare freelancer productivity reports based upon the sales data provided by the freelancers and/ or your customers
- On an annual basis, generate, review, print and mail the 1099 tax forms to your independent contractors and file the form 1096 with the IRS
